On July 5th, the Blue Tech Summit IL.23, the first of a series of events, took place in the port of Haifa. BlueCycle attended the event following the invitation of the Israeli National Center of Blue Economy. At the summit, in which have participated representatives of international investment platforms, start-ups, as well as government and research bodies, aimed to highlight innovation as a driving force for sustainable development. In this context the BlueCycle team, consisting of Dr. Francisco Vargas and Elia Nikitopoulou, presented its activity as a model for the management and recycling of fishing and maritime plastic waste.
